Insurance & Reimbursement

Insurance & reimbursement

Do I need a prescription to receive your nursing care?

Yes, virtually all nursing services (blood tests, wound dressings, injections, infusions…) require a medical prescription issued by your GP or a specialist. Without a prescription, care cannot be reimbursed by French health insurance.

Is care covered by French Social Security?

Yes, nursing care carried out with a prescription is reimbursed by French health insurance. I use direct billing (tiers payant): you do not pay the Social Security portion upfront. The top-up portion depends on your complementary insurance — direct billing for top-up insurance is also accepted.

What payment methods do you accept?

I accept cash and bank transfer. Credit and debit cards are not accepted. Your Carte Vitale is of course required for insurance processing. For patients not covered by French insurance, payment is required directly.

Can I be exempted from the patient co-payment?

In certain cases (long-term conditions – ALD, maternity, workplace accident…), care may be covered at 100% with no patient co-payment. Please check with your doctor or your French health insurance fund (Caisse d'Assurance Maladie).

What nursing services do you offer at home?

At your home I carry out: blood tests and blood panels, injections (subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous), infusions (IV and subcutaneous), simple and complex wound dressings (post-operative wounds, pressure sores, ulcers, burns), diabetes monitoring with patient education, personal hygiene assistance, home hospitalisation care (HAD), and palliative care support.

Do you work from a surgery or only visit at home?

Both. I have a surgery in the centre of Pertuis (174 Cours de la République) for patients who are able to travel, and I make home visits for those with reduced mobility, for convalescents, or for anyone who prefers to be treated at home. The standard of care is identical in both cases.

Do you speak English?

Yes, I speak both French and English fluently. English-speaking patients living in Pertuis and the surrounding area — including expats and tourists — are very welcome and will have no language barrier during their care.

Do you provide palliative care?

Yes, I provide end-of-life care at home with compassion and respect, working in coordination with the medical team and family members.
